Your photos stay on your device
Paletto reads colours from the photos you choose, take or paste, and frames them, all on your iPhone or iPad. Photos are never uploaded, and Paletto has no servers.
No data is collected
Paletto has no accounts, analytics, advertising or tracking. Nothing you do in the app is sent to the developer.
What is kept on your device
Your last look, saved looks, and the gallery of frames you saved, with their photos so you can edit them again. The home-screen widget reads your latest palette from the same device. Deleting the app removes all of it.
Daily palette and look links
If you turn on Palette of the Day, the notifications are planned on your device from your gallery; nothing is sent anywhere. A look link holds only the frame's settings and colours, in the link itself.
Photos and camera
Paletto only sees the photos you pick, and only uses the camera while you are taking a photo or using Live Palette. It adds frames to your photo library only when you save them.
Photo location
If a photo recorded where it was taken, Paletto can print its coordinates or the place name under it when you turn that on. To find the place name, Paletto sends the coordinates (never the photo) to Apple's maps service. The developer never receives them. If you type a place yourself, what you type is sent to the same service for suggestions.
Caption ideas
On devices with Apple Intelligence, caption ideas come from Apple's on-device model. The photo and palette stay on the device.
Purchases
Paletto Pro is bought through the App Store. Apple handles the payment; Paletto only learns whether Pro is unlocked.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be in the app and on this page. Last updated October 2026.
